Profile summary

I joined the Hilti plant in Zahnjiang in 2004 and then started the fantastic journey in Hilti.
At the every beginning, I was product cost accountant and after 4 years of experience, I got the opportunity to be a cost controller for the newly created department ACS (Asia Consumable Sourcing) and also for the plant.

In this cost controller position, I started to have points of contact to new product introductions, which was a fascinating field. For that reason, I applied later on for the  role of Special Product Coordinato, where I had to handle the special product from inquiry, manufacture, qualification, to finally delivery. Within this position, I learnt to have better understanding on engineering master data setting, quality standards, manufacturing & logistics.

In 2010, I officially began as Sourcing Manager responsible for the raw material (carbon steel/stainless steel), cold formed & machining components, plastic parts sourcing and corresponding suppliers management, and also started to handle the new product introductions.

In 2015, I got the certificate as Project Management Professional and transferred to the engineering department as leader of project management.

People always asks “How can you handle the different positions with a financial background?”. I think the key is to keep developing yourself, get to know function expertise systematically and then learn by doing, as long as you get yourself ready, the opportunity will come! Yes, every job is full of challenges but they make you better and ready for next opportunity.

At Hilti, anything is possible!

Profile summary

I first worked at Hilti as an intern nine years ago, before joining the company as a project engineer. My role was to optimize processes by investing in new machines and developing technologies. I quickly learned a lot and started to build up my network inside the company.

Three years on, I moved into technical service and gained experience in leading a team and fulfilling the needs of different production and development areas. From there, I went into diamond systems, heading up international teams on projects for inserts and tools. Right now, I’m in California in an exciting new position, as general manager of Hilti US Manufacturing Corporation.

Each of these roles has shown me a different aspect of Hilti, while all the time preparing me for the next challenge ahead. They’ve also give me the opportunity to gain knowledge on the job and to work with great people from all over the world. I love the intercultural environment at Hilti. There’s a tremendous mix of people with a shared team spirit and commitment to work hard.

Profile summary

My Hilti journey started in 1999. Since then, I’ve enjoyed five different positions over the last 17 years. Some of my standout memories were working with the SAP implement team to design the Plant specific process, working to drive the project forward. The lean workshop in warehouse to increase the productivity was another great project. This long term project aimed to achieve a 50% inventory reduction whilst driving delivery performance to a world class level.

Following these projects, an organizational restructure gave me the opportunity to become the Head of Supply. Now I work on supply strategy and drive initiatives to make Plant more competitive. 17 years of non-stop learning, non-stop challenges, continuous improvement and working with a great team make every day full of fun! Hilti has its unique culture that I love working for!
