What's the role?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven individual to join our regional sales team as an Account Manager within the Energy and Industry segment. This is a role with a lot of potential to develop our business and build your career in a multinational organisation. Based in the Mackay area, you will be the direct link between Hilti and our customers based in Central and North Queensland working within the mining, LNG, power and manufacturing industries. You will be an integral point of contact for our focus customers in the area, providing expert advice, knowledge and solutions for a wide variety of applications.

What does the role involve?

As a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, after receiving extensive training you will work on and proactively expand a portfolio of existing accounts while building relationships with our customers within the Energy and Industry segment. This is no ordinary sales or business development manager job; we don't believe in a hard sell because our strong core values allow us to focus purely on building long-term sustainable relationships with our customers. You will partner with key decision makers within the mining, LNG, power and manufacturing industries to understand their needs and how our products and services can add value. This is why we stand out as the market leader.

Our products and services are chosen for some of the world’s most exciting projects, like London’s Crossrail and Japan’s bullet train, as well as major building, infrastructure, resource and industrial projects in Australia, and everyday projects that make people’s lives better and safer.

What you need is:

  • A methodical and driven approach to sales and the ability to identify key decision makers
  • Strong sales focus with advanced planning skills and the ability to influence
  • Exposure and connection to the Mining industry is advantageous
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective problem solving ability
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Availability to travel within the territory to manage accounts and projects
