Application Engineer- Structural
What's the role?
Reporting to the Sales Director Oglaend System, a Hilti group company, this is a newly created role of Application Engineer- Structural
You will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing complex modular support system solutions targeting Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines in sectors such as Oil & Gas (On-Shore and Off-Shore Plants), Shipbuilding, Mining and Industry.

What does the role involve?
The Application Engineer- Structural will be the primary technical resource for the off-shore team.
You will steer technical design collaboration with the regional project team along with being commercially responsible for actively identifying, driving and managing the design stages of the sales and planning process to identified engineering disciplines within key asset owners, EPC and contractors.
You will conduct customer/project analysis to create applications that respond to our customer needs as well as respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs /RFQs. Using your strong communication skills, you will perform technical and product training both at customer sites and engineering offices as well as develop technical competence within the Hilti Energy and Industry sales teams.
The role would be responsible for engineering of complete applications as lead engineer based on Hilti and Oglaend modular support systems and related products such as anchors or direct fastening solutions using either company proprietary software (HILTI PROFIS suite) or structural analysis software (e.g. R-Stab, SAP2000)

What you need is:
- Engineering degree in mechanical, structural and /or computer science with at least 5 years sales experience and technical knowledge of offshore industry standards is preferable. Experience within offshore EPCs and yards is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in presenting project status and risks to senior management
- High learning agility with attention to detail
- Independent self- starter with a can-do attitude
