What's the role?
The Contract Manager role involves full-spectrum in-house legal and compliance work reporting directly to the Head of Finance.
Your next role as a Contract Manager will see you deliver the best commercial outcomes for the business while directly impacting and influencing business decisions. You will collaborate with various senior stakeholders across the entire business, including the organization’s Executive Management Team (EMT), as well as colleagues across other markets.

What does the role involve?
The Contract Manager is responsible for:
Reviewing and negotiating customer contracts to deliver the best commercial outcome for the business
Liaising with external and internal stakeholders as required, including regular customer visits to manage contract negotiations
Staying up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed
Participating in customer tender coordination to ensure all risks mitigated through defined action plan
Ensuring compliance issues and risks are identified, mitigated and managed
Reviewing the risk and compliance framework and identifying areas for further refinement, as well as ongoing monitoring across the market organization to ensure compliance
Ensuring Hilti Australia is compliant with all required internal risk controls and external regulations

What you need is:
- 5 years post-qualification experience as a fully qualified lawyer within Australia
- Minimum 3 year experience in contract/project administration, procurement or tendering, preferably in the construction, engineering or manufacturing sector
- Legal/compliance experience and/or contracts management department
- Sound knowledge of local government policies and legislation, including tendering and contract management
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm to learn and drive to succeed
- Acts independently and thinks strategically
